We’re always looking for new ways to talk about fistula. It has been a decade since the UN officially launched its Campaign to End Fistula, and yet it remains one of the most under-reported global health issues in the world.

So we’re always asking ourselves: What will resonate with people who haven’t heard about fistula before? How do we best explain a condition so resistant to quick sound bites and easy definitions? How do we break down a complex issue for Westerners who have no context for such a scourge? What would we want to understand if we were learning about fistula for the first time?

With “The Pathway to Stopping Obstetric Fistula,” our partners at the UNFPA have developed an infographic that does a beautiful, understated job of answering those questions and more. Check it out. Tweet it. Maybe if it piques your interest, dig a little deeper.

We can’t hope to eradicate something if people haven’t even heard of it to know it needs eradicating. Help us spread the word.
